JJJJound and New Balance release the 740N Stoneware on August 6 for $130 USD. The silhouette dates to the early 2000s and has not appeared in JJJJound's New Balance archive until now. Light beige mesh upper, brown synthetic overlays, charcoal N logo.

JJJJound's New Balance collaborations typically sell out within hours. The 740N is less hyped than the 990 and 992 models the studio has previously touched. The lower price point and unfamiliar silhouette may extend availability.

The studio's decision to resurrect an early-two-thousands runner rather than return to its proven successes with the nine-ninety and nine-ninety-two lines signals a deliberate pivot toward archival depth over safe repetition. By reaching into a silhouette absent from its prior New Balance work, JJJJound trades guaranteed sell-through velocity for curatorial credibility among collectors who reward obscurity.

Pricing the release well below the triple-digit thresholds typical of the studio's past drops further distances the Stoneware from hype-cycle economics. A muted palette built on light beige mesh and brown synthetic overlays reads as utilitarian rather than statement-driven, positioning the shoe for extended shelf life in a market conditioned to expect instant scarcity.

Available via New Balance and JJJJound. First sellout data will be visible by end of day August 6.
